The STH05 series wide input voltage switching regulators, are ideally suited to 48VDC bus POL applications. With efficiency up to 92%, very little energy is wasted as heat so there is no requirement for a heatsink, giving significant space saving and providing flexibility for the PCB design.

These non-isolated DC-DC converters offer a simple step-down voltage conversion and good line/load regulation, low ripple & noise with a low quiescent current (no load) of 3mA. Remote on/off is provided by a control pin, when inhibited the input current is just 1mA. The output has continuous short circuit protection with automatic reset.

The STH05 provide a low-cost point of load (POL) solution for: Distributed DC supply systems not needing isolation but where regulation is required; Embedded computing; Sensors; Robotics; Telecommunications; Instrumentation; Portable & battery-operated equipment
