它的直接起因是，中国 国家统计局19日发布数据，三季度中国GDP同比增长6.9%，这是2009年第二季度以来中国GDP增长首次跌破7%。
“破7”引起一些外媒对中国经济“习惯性担忧”。不过，近来一直受中国影响巨大的亚太和新兴市场多数股市当天飘红，显示出世界对这样的“担忧”并不太感冒。
事实上，世界越来越多关注到，中国经济有两副面貌：一个是数据仍然低迷的中国经济，另一个则是消费者无论在国外还是国内都在不停“买买买”的中国经济。
英国《金融时报》称，中国消费增长十分强劲，十一黄金周有在线旅行网站收入增加3倍，没出去旅游的人也令中国电影票房收入增长3/5，这些都表明中国经济正朝着正确的方向发展，特别是经济转型正取得进展。
