The SCH5620 is a 3.3VPC 2001 compliant Super I/O controller with an LPC interface. All legacydrivers used for Super I/O components are supported, making this interfacetransparent to the supporting software. The LPC bus also supports powermanagement, such as wake-up and sleep modes.



This device provides temperature monitoring with auto fan control andmonitors up to three external diodes, including one internalambient temperature sensor and retrieving temperatures from externalprocessors that implement the PECI (Platform Environment ControlInterface). Programmable automatic fan control support based on one or more ofthese measured temperatures is offered, and there is support for abi-directional PROCHOT# pin. 



The Glue Logicincludes various power management logic; including generation of RSMRST#and Power OK signal generation. The part also provides a lowbattery warning circuit. SCH5620 is directly powered by two separate suspendsupply planes (VBAT and VTR) and senses a third runtime power plane (VCC)to provide “instant on” and system power management functions.
