描述 Description

The ADPL54203 operates from an input voltage rangeof 3.2V to 40V and delivers up to 17W of isolatedoutput power. It is a monolithic micropower isolatedflyback converter. By sampling the isolated outputvoltage directly from the primary-side flybackwaveform, the part requires no third winding or optoisolatorfor regulation. The output voltage isprogrammed with two external resistors and a thirdoptional temperature compensation resistor.Boundary mode operation provides a small magneticsolution with excellent load regulation. Low rippleBurst Mode operation maintains high efficiency atlight load while minimizing the output voltage ripple.

A 3.4A, 60V DMOS power switch is integrated alongwith all the high voltage circuitry and control logicinto a thermally enhanced 8-lead SO package. Thehigh level of integration and the use of boundary andlow ripple burst modes result in a simple to use, lowcomponent count, and high efficiency applicationsolution for isolated power delivery.
