描述 Description

The UPD360 is a highly integrated small form factor USBType-C/PD controller compliant with USB Type-C™ specification and USB PowerDelivery specification v.2.0. UPD360 provides cable detection and orientation,and implements baseband communication with a partner USB Type-C/PD Device.UPD360 can function as a standalone charger or as a companion Power Delivery controllerto an external MCU/SoC, using the integrated I2C/SPI interface.The UPD360 integrates two VCONN FETs with Rp/Rd switching, aport power controller that supports up to 5V/3A on VBUS, with over-current andover-voltage detection. The device also supports Alternate Modes, likeDisplayPort, HDMI and Thunderbolt. In the companion mode a software stackexecutes in the external MCU/SoC to support DRP modes, power profiles andalternate mode functionality.The UPD360 targets a wide range of applications in Consumer(Notebooks, Monitors, Docking Stations) and Industrial (Point of Sale Systems,Printers) market segments.
