The SKY84632 SmartSwitch is a slew-rate-controlledP-channel MOSFET power switch designed for high sideload switching applications. This switch operates withinputs ranging from 1.5V to 5.5V, making it ideal for1.8V, 3V and 5V systems. It connects/disconnects up to3A continuous loads powered from the DC power railwith stringent off-state current targets and high loadcapacitances (up to 100μF) through enable control. Theintegrated low-impedance PMOSFET switch, togetherwith typical 2.7ms turn-on slew rate control, preventslarge inrush current and excessive voltage drop onpower rails.

The SKY84632 has the reverse blocking feature thatblocks unexpected reverse current from OUT to IN duringthe PMOSFET on and off states. The typical 9μA quiescentcurrent makes it ideal for power saving applications.The exceptional low off-state current drain (maximum1μA) facilitates compliance with standby powerrequirements. The switch enable control is active highwith an internal pull-down resistor that eliminates theneed for an external pull-down resistor. The SKY84632also includes over-temperature protection and recoversautomatically when the fault is removed.

The SKY84632 is available in a 6-bump, 1.0mm x1.5mm, Wafer-Level Chip-Scale Package (WLCSP) and israted over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
