描述 Description

The M37041 is a four channel 25 Gbps / 28 Gbps CDR with integrated input equalizer, typically for use as a transmit device in optical modules and as a retimer for line card applications. The M37041 CDRs retime at 25.78 Gbps for 100 GbE and EDR InfiniBand, 27.95 Gbps for OTU4 and 28.05 Gbps for 32 Gbps Fibre Channel applications. Each channel includes a programmable equalizer, a high performance CDR, and an output driver with programmable output swing and 2-tap de-emphasis. The input equalizer compensates for a channel loss of 0 to 16 dB at 14 GHz, with a single setting able to equalize the full range of VSR loss budget. The CDR is reference-free and can be bypassed to support legacy or non-standard data rates. The M37040 is assembled in a 7 mm x 7 mm LFGA package and supports loopback when used in conjunction with the M37040 Quad CDR with limiting amplifier, and is optimized for use in a CFP-2, CFP-4 and QSFP optical modules. The device is powered from 2.5 V and 1.8 V supplies, with the option of a single 2.5 V or 3.3 V supply. It is an extremely low power device, consuming less than 125 mW per channel. The device is controlled through a 2-wire serial interface.
