描述 Description

The M37040 is a four channel 25 Gbps / 28 Gbps CDR with integrated limiting amplifier, typically for use as a receive device in optical modules. The M37040 CDRs retime at 25.78 Gbps for 100GbE and EDR InfiniBand, 27.95 Gbps for OTU4 and 28.05 Gbps for 32 Gbps Fibre Channel applications. Each channel includes a high-sensitivity limiting amplifier, a high performance CDR, and an output driver with programmable output swing and 2-tap de-emphasis. The CDR is reference-free and can be bypassed to support legacy or non-standard data rates. The M37040 is assembled in a 7 mm x 7 mm LFGA package and supports loopback when used in conjunction with the M37041 Quad CDR with input equalizer, and is optimized for use in a CFP-2, CFP-4 and QSFP optical modules. The device is powered from 2.5 V and 1.8 V supplies, with the option of a single 2.5 V or 3.3 V supply. It is an extremely low power device, consuming less than 125 mW per channel. The device is controlled through a 2-wire serial interface.
