The recommendedalternative touch controller is ATMXT1189TD-A.
The Microchip maXTouch mXT768E mutual capacitance touchscreencontroller is designed for touchscreens of up to 10.1\" diagonal or evenlarger. The highly responsive IC is able to identify up to sixteentouches on the touchscreen and enables shieldless single layer touchsensors as well as gloved operation. With advanced touch processing, thedevice embeds a variety of single and dual touch gestures, and rejectsunintentional touches caused, e.g., by a resting palm, while correctlyinterpreting light touches.
