The ATMXT288UD-A is the smallest Automotive qualifiedtouchscreen controller in a VQFN-56 package with wettable flanks, aimed atsmart surfaces and multi-function displays up to 6.5”.Excellent intrinsic SNR of this latest maXTouch familyenables detection and tracking of multi-finger thick gloves through a widevariety of overlay materials and thicknesses, even in the presence of moisture.This SNR combined with a high acquisition speed provides a fast, accurate andreliable a touch position.The ATMXT288UD-A incorporates a new low power mode forwake-up on touch, this enable the system to go into a wait-for-touch modewhile consuming less than 50uA and to wake-up by a touch event anywhere onthe touch surface.This technology also enables adaptive touch utilizingself-capacitance and mutual-capacitance measurements so all touches arerecognized and false touch detections are avoided.The controllers also incorporate a new self and sensordiagnostic function, which constantly monitors the integrity of the touchsystem.
