The uP9612 is a USB dedicated charging port (DCP)converter, used for the charging of mobile phones andtablets. The uP9612 is a high-efficiency synchronousrectifiedbuck converter with an internal power switch. Withinternal low RDS(ON) switches, the high-efficiency buckconverter is capable of delivering up to 3A output currentfor charger interface and a wide input voltage range from8V to 29V. It operates in either CV (Constant OutputVoltage) mode or CC (Constant Output Current) mode andprovides a current limitation function. The uP9612 has aconstant output voltage of 5.1V for USB 2.0, BC1.2 andDivider Mode that is detected from D+ and D- line. Otherfeatures for the buck converter include internal soft-start,adjustable external CC (Constant Output Current) limitsetting, built-in fixed line-compensation, short circuitprotection, VIN/VOUT over voltage protection, and overtemperature protection.
