描述 Description

The uP7549V is a current limited high-side switch designedfor applications where heavy capacitive loads and shortcircuitsare likely to be met. This device operates withinputs from 2.7V to 5.5V for both 3V and 5V systems. Itslow quiescent current and shutdown current(<1uA) conservebattery power in portable.

The power switch is controlled by a logic enable input anddriven by an internal charge pump circuit. When the outputload exceeds the current-limit threshold or a short ispresent, the uP7549V asserts over current protection andlimits the output current to a safe level by driving the powerswitch into saturation mode.

The uP7549V features glitch-blank fault flag that is assertedby over current and over temperature. The 8ms glitchblankingtime allows momentary faults to be ignored, thuspreventing false alarms to the host system.

Other features include soft-start to limit inrush currentduring plug-in, thermal shutdown to prevent catastrophicswitch failure from high-current loads, under-voltage lockout(UVLO) to ensure that the device remains off unless thereis a valid input voltage present, and output reverse voltageto turn off the power switch when the output voltage ishigher than input voltage. The uP7549V is available inTSOT23-5L, TSOT23-5L(Flip-Chip), SOT23 - 5L, andMSOP-8L packages.
