描述 Description

The uP1537-B1 is a high-efficiency, single synchronousbuck controller suitable for low output voltage point-ofloadapplications in notebook computers and similar digitalconsumer applications. The proprietary RCOTTMtechnology provides fast transient response and high noiseimmunity. It supports ceramic output capacitors. Anadvantage of this control scheme is that it does not requirean external phase compensation network, helping thedesigner with ease-of-use and realizing low externalcomponent count configuration. This combination is idealfor building modern low duty ratio, ultra-fast load stepresponse DC-DC converters. The output voltage rangesfrom 0.7 V to 2.6V, and the conversion input voltage rangeis from 3 V to 26V. The switching frequency is selectablefrom four preset values using a resistor connected fromthe RF pin to ground. RCOTTM control tracks the presetswitching frequency over a wide range of input and outputvoltages, while it increases the switching frequency at stepupof load.

The RF pin also serves in selecting between auto-skipmode and forced continuous conduction mode for lightload conditions. The strong gate drivers of the uP1537-B1 allow low RDS(ON) FETs for high current applications.
