As server interfaces in the enterprise data center transition from 1 to 10GbE, and virtualization continues to increase link utilization, data center networks are demanding top-of-rack (ToR) switches with dense 10GbE ports and 100GbE connectivity to the spine layer.

 

With support for up to eight 100GbE ports and more than 100 10GbE ports, the StrataXGS® Trident-II+ switch series can be used to build highly scalable, lower power, feature-rich ToR switches. Together with spine switches built around the StrataXGS Tomahawk™ and StrataDNX™ switch series, the Trident-II+ series form the ideal combination to drive cloud scale networking adoption in the enterprise market.
 

 
  In addition, fabrics of BCM56868 with BCM56860 devices can be interconnected via the HiGig2™ protocol to support multi-terabit chassis designs for large-scale data center, enterprise and service provider applications. The StrataXGS Trident-II+ switch with integrated SmartSwitch™ technology has been designed to address performance, capacity and service requirements for next generation data centers and cloud computing applications.
