描述 Description

The TPS650932 device is a single-chip solution, power-management IC (PMIC)designed specifically for the latest Intel Cannon Lake processors targetedfor tablets, ultrabooks, and notebooks with NVDC or non-NVDC power architectures, using 2S, 3S, or4S Lithium-Ion battery packs.The device can provide a power solution based on Intel Reference Designs.
Five highly-efficient step-down voltage regulators (VRs) and a sink-source LDO are usedalong with power-up sequence logic managing external load switches to provide the proper powerrails, sequencing, and protection—including DDR3 and DDR4 memory power. The regulators supportdynamic voltage scaling (DVS) for maximum efficiency including connected standby. Thehigh-frequency voltage regulators use small inductors and capacitors to achieve a small solutionsize. Output power is adjustable on the controllers to scale across processor skews andapplications. An I2C interface allows simple control by the embeddedcontroller (EC).
The device is available in a 7×7 nFBGA package (ZAJ). The ZAJpackage can be used in Type-4 PCB boards for the smallest area implementation.
