The SSCi16-port SmartIOC offers the industry's first high performance SAS/SATA IO controllers with support for hardware RAID 0/1/10, RAID 5, and native HBA modes. They deliver the lowest Total Cost of Ownership while enabling new features and higher performance to the enterprise server and hyperscale data center server market.Towards the host it supports 8 lanes of PCIe 3.0, each lane supporting PCIe rates up to 8.0 Gbps. To interface to drives and/or expanders, it supports up to 8 lanes of 1.5G/3G/6G SATA or 3G/6G/12G SAS. Furthermore, the SSCi supports Microschip Adaptec® drivers for Linux, Windows, VMware, Solaris and FreeBSD and benefits from management tools compatible with these drivers.

The Microchip SmartIOC 2000 12 Gbps architecture is featured onAdaptec® HBA 1000 Host Bus Adapters.
