Overview The PCA9691 is a single chip, single supply, low power, 8-bit CMOS1 data acquisitiondevice with four analog inputs, one analog output and a serial I2C-bus interface. Threeaddress pins (A0, A1, and A2) are used for programming the hardware address, allowingthe use of up to 64 PCA9691 devices connected to the I2C-bus without additionalhardware. Address, control and data to and from the PCA9691 are transferred via theserial two-line bidirectional I2C-bus.\nThe functions of the PCA9691 include:\nAnalog input multiplexing\nOn-chip sample and hold\n8-bit Analog-to-Digital (A/D) conversion\n8-bit Digital-to-Analog (D/A) conversion\nThe maximum conversion rate is given by the maximum frequency of theI2C-bus.\n
