描述 Description

The MP5477 is a complete power management IC (PMIC) that integrates five high-efficiency, step-down DC/DC converters, one LDO, and a flexible logic interface for memory controller applications.

Constant-on-time (COT) control provides fast transient response. The configurable switching frequency (fSW, up to 2MHz) reduces the external inductor and capacitor size significantly. It provides automatic pulse-frequency modulation (PFM)/pulse-width modulation (PWM) or forced PWM switching modes, as well as a configurable input/output constant-current (CC) limit.

The MP5477 provides full protection features including over-current protection (OCP), over-voltage protection (OVP), under-voltage protection (UVP), configurable soft start (SS), and thermal shutdown.

The output voltage (VOUT) of the buck converter is adjustable via the I2C bus or preset via the multiple-time programmable (MTP) memory. The two 2A buck rails and two 3A buck rails can work in either independent mode or parallel mode, which can be configured. The current-sharing function is implemented when working in parallel mode. The power-on/-off sequence is also configurable via the MTP.

The MP5477 requires a minimal number of external components, and is available in a space-saving QFN-41 (5mmx5mm) package.
