描述 Description

The MP2927 is a triple-loop, digital, multi-phase controller that provides power for the memory and system-on-chip (SoC). The MP2927 can work with MPS’s Intelli-PhaseTM products to complete the multi-phase voltage regulator (VR) solution with a minimal number of external components. The MP2927 can be configured for up to 8-phase operation on rail 1, 1-phase operation on rail 2, and 1-phase operation on rail 3.

The MP2927 provides an on-chip non-volatile memory (NVM) to store and restore device configurations. Device configurations and fault parameters can be easily configured or monitored via the PMBus/I2C interface. The device can monitor and report the output current (IOUT) through the current-sense (CS) output from Intelli-PhaseTM devices.

The MP2927 is based on unique, digital, multi-phase control to provide fast transient response to the load transient with minimal output capacitors. With only one power loop control method for both steady state and load transient response, the power loop compensation is simple to configure.

The MP2927 is available in a TQFN-40 (5mmx5mm) package.
