描述 Description

MBI6801 is a universal input AC-DC converter designed to deliver constant current to high power LED with primary side regulation (PSR) control (patent pending). MBI6801 is optimized for applications based on flyback transformer-isolated converter with output power up to 10 Watts. It is designed to operate in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM), which offers better circuit stability and higher efficiency. The embedded soft-start function eliminates the inrush current during the power-on period. MBI6801 also features under voltage lock-out (UVLO), over-temperature protection, LED open-circuit protection and LED short-circuit protection to protect IC from being damaged accidentally. Thermal foldback automatically dims the LED by linearly decreasing the output current when the surface temperature of the component being monitored exceeds the user-selected breakpoint.
