描述 Description

The MAX17793 is a high-efficiency, high-voltage,synchronous step-down DC-DC converter withintegrated MOSFETs operating over an input voltagerange of 3V to 80V. The device can deliver up to 3Acurrent and generate output voltages ranging from 0.6Vup to 90% of VIN.

The device features a MODE/SYNC pin that can be usedto program the device in forced pulse-width modulation(PWM) or switching frequency modulation (SFM) modesof operation and to synchronize the internal clock to anexternal clock. The device offers an enable/ inputundervoltage lockout (EN/UVLO) pin to program thedesired input voltage at which the converter turnson/off. The device also has a soft-start (SS) pin to reduceinrush currents during startup. In addition, the devicefeatures a RESET/TJ, pin which can be used either tomonitor the status of output voltage or die temperature.The die temperature monitor allows the user to directlymeasure the silicon die temperature instead of relyingon theoretical estimation, thus enabling robust, reliablepower supply design.
