描述 Description

The ISO7721Bdevice is a high-performance, dual-channel digital isolator with 5000 VRMSisolation ratings per UL 1577 and 8000 VPK basic insulation according toVDE.
The ISO7721Bdevice provides high electromagnetic immunity and low emissions at low power consumption, whileisolating CMOS or LVCMOS digital I/Os. Each isolation channel has a logic input and output bufferseparated by a silicon dioxide (SiO2) insulation barrier. TheISO7721B device has bothchannels in the opposite direction. In the event of input power or signal loss, the default outputis high for device without suffix F and low for device with suffix F. See the Device Functional Modes section for furtherdetails.
Used in conjunction with isolated power supplies, this device helps prevent noisecurrents on data buses, such as RS-485, RS-232, and CAN, or other circuits from entering the localground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuitry. Through innovative chip design andlayout techniques, the electromagnetic compatibility of the ISO7721B device has beensignificantly enhanced to ease system-level ESD, EFT, surge, and emissions compliance. TheISO7721B device is availablein 16-pin SOIC wide-body (DW) package.
