描述 Description

IP8002 is a 2-channel PSE (Power Sourcing Equipment) controller IC for PoE (Power over Ethernet) systems. It integrates power, analog and logic circuits into a single chip, and can be used for Midspan power injector and Endpoint PSE applications.IP8002 meets all IEEE 802.3bt-2018 single- signature PD/dual-signature PD requirements, such as multi-point resistor detection, connection check, five-event PD classification, Autoclass, DC Disconnect, and Back-off for Midspan. It also meets all IEEE 802.3af-2003, & 802.3at-2009 requirements, such as two-event classification and supply maximum 36W per channel.IP8002 comprises internal temperature monitoring and thermal protection to protect against junction overheating. The 3.3V regulator is built-in to support internal system, or external high-efficiency 3.3V regulator to support lower quiescent current. I2C bus uses to collect PD power status from each IP8002 to support global power managements.Management switch host has options to communicate IP8002 via I2C bus non-isolation for PSE management activities, or photo-couplers can be implemented to provide electrical isolations between the host and IP8002 for signal communication.
