FT1201集成了数字控制电阻和脉冲宽度调制。这种集成方案以最低的代价灵活地把64级PB接口和6-bit数字接口（MI）应用到数字控制电阻和脉冲宽度调制中。输入的设置值存储在非挥发性存储器中，并在上电时载入。FT1201省掉了微控制器的需求，给PCM和DCP提供低成本的PB和MI接口。尽管输入和输出管脚是5V，但供电电压可以是5V∽13V，使系统设计更加灵活。
DCP的功能和辉芒的产品FT61xx类似，是64级、10kΩ。PWM输出是1.8kHz。在封装类型上，有8管脚的DIP，SOP，TSSOP和MSOP封装，所有的封装均能满足无铅或环保标准。
