描述 Description

The Genesys GL9510 is an advanced 2-Port PD controller that supports DisplayPort Alternate mode and charge-through function. It is compliant to USB Power Delivery Specification Rev3.0 /2.0 and Type-C Port Controller Specification. The GL9510 integrates Type-C Channel Configuration (CC) function and BMC PHY to support PD messaging for power negotiation, power/data/Vconn swapping and Alternate mode function. The Type-C Port Manager (TCPM) for policy of 2 PD ports is achieved by an 8bit MCU and its application code in external Flash. The GL9510 can easily support OVP/OCP/OTP since it has an integrated 6-channel 10-bit ADC. There are threshold comparators for each ADC channel. So the protecting activity can be made very quickly once an over-V/under-V/over-I/over-T occurs. The GL9510 also integrates an iDAC in it. With iDAC and ADC, the GL9510 can support programmable Power Supply (PPS) function of PD3.0 for smart phone direct charging. Both PD ports can be source, sink and DRP, which depends on the targeted application. The application code can be upgraded by USB (for GL9510D) or I2C (for GL9510H). There are 10 GPIO pins in GL9510 for power path control, VBUS discharge, I2C interface, HPD, and SuperSpeed Mux control. The GL9510 also integrates the SBU/AUX switch and an USB FS PHY (Billboard device) to support DisplayPort Alternate Mode on Type-C. As for GL9510-B (QFN28), this configuration can support USB billboard function (FS), AUX switch, 2-channel ADC and several GPIO pins (GPIO7 can support HPD function).All available packages for GL9510 are listed as the following tables. Regarding one-port configurations, the package type can be either QFN32 (5 GPIO pins and 2 ADC channels are available) or QFN46 (10 GPIO pins and 4 ADC channels are available). As for GL9510-D1/H1 in package QFN46, the pin out is the same as GL9510-D2/H2 except pin16, 17, 35, 36 (unused pins).
