描述 Description

The F85042/A & F85043A/B are 2 differential channels multiplexer/demultiplexer switch for PCI Express generation 3 (Gen 3) applications. The solution can switch 2 full PCIE 3.0 lanes to one of two locations. The F85042/A & F85043A/B are intended to switch PCIE data between two possible destinations in desktop, notebook PCs. The F85042/A & F85043A/B feature a single digital control input (SEL) to switch signal paths between the IN and OUT channels. The F85042/A & F85043A/B are bidirectional switch, allowing the IN and OUT to be used as either inputs or outputs. This solution allows expansion of existing high speed ports for extremely low power. The F85042/A & F85043A/B have been able to minimize the impedance of the switch such that the attenuation observed through the switch is negligible.(1)The F85043A has input and output pins on the opposite of the package which is suitable for edge connector with different signal sources on the motherboard. This device minimizes the channel to channel skew as well as crosstalk as required by the PCIE specification. The F85043B has outputs on both sides of the package, and the device can be placed between two connectors to multiplex differential signals from a controller.(1)The device is specified to operate from a single +1.8V for F85042A and others + 3.3V power supply. The F85042/A & F85043A/B are available in an industry standard 3.5x5.5mm 28 pin QFN & 2.5x4.5mm, 20 pin QFN package which could be operated at -40° C ~ +85° C temperature ranges.(1)(1)
