TheBL78L05seriesofthreeterminalpositiveregulatorsisavailablewithseveralfixedoutputvoltagesmakingthemusefulinawiderangeofapplications.Whenusedasazenerdiode/resistorcombinationreplacement,theBL78LXXusu-allyresultsinaneffectiveoutputimpedanceimprovementoftwoordersofmagnitude,andlowerquiescentcurrent.Theseregulatorscanprovidelocaloncardregulation,eliminatingthedistributionproblemsassociatedwithsinglepointregu-lation.ThevoltagesavailableallowtheLM78LXXtobeusedinlogicsystems,instrumentation,HiFi,andothersolidstateelectronicequipment.
