The BCM65550 device is the industry’s most-advanced vector processor (VP) solution for high-density crosstalk cancellation for both G.fast 106/212 and G.vector 17a/35b.The BCM65550 is a second-generation, modular building block for board and system-level vectoring. This modularity offers excellent scalability (from smaller MDU to large CO) and flexibility (not enforcing a specific system or backplane architecture) in DSLAM system design.The BCM65550 VP can be combined with BCM65200 and/or BCM65400 DSL transceivers, and with the BCM65300 DSL transceiver via the BCM65300F framer. In addition, the BCM65550 VP is forward compatible with the upcoming Shasta DSL transceiver.

• G.fast 106/212 system-level vectoring for up to 192x192 lines (up to 192 victim lines cancelling the crosstalk of 192 disturber lines using 4096 tones)
• G.vector 17a/35b system-level vectoring for up to 384x384 lines (up to 384 victim lines cancelling the crosstalk of 384 disturber lines using 8192 tones)
• High-resolution crosstalk cancellation coefficients stored on-chip (no external DDR memory required).
• Support for hybrid vectoring in G.fast mode: G.vector 17a in parallel with G.fast 106 or G.vector 35b in parallel with G.fast 212 for any line running in VDSL fallback mode
• Support for proxy vectoring in G.fast mode: G.fast vectoring on-chip and G.vector vectoring passed on to a central VP
• Support for G.fast DO (discontinuous operation) via dedicated coefficients for the normal and discontinuous interval
