Virtualization in data centers is driving the need for higher-speed links and improved link utilization. The BCM56760, with native support for 25 GbE links, 100 GbE links, and smart hashing, is ideally suited for this evolving environment and is an excellent choice for top-of-rack (ToR) or 10G/25G blade-server designs.  At the same time, the increasing importance of interworking between data centers and public networks is sharpening the need for service-provider features such as MPLS. Built using the widely deployed Trident2+ architecture, the BCM56760 has been designed to provide a complete solution that blends service-provider and data-center requirements.
The BCM56760 supports up to 48x 10GE plus 4x 100GE (or 6x 40GE). This product is an ideal choice for fixed-configuration units that operate either as data-center ToR switches, carrier aggregation switches, or enterprise aggregation switches.
