is a high performance linear regulatorwith very low dropout voltage and excellent transientresponse. It is designed to operate with wide inputvoltage range of 1.5 - 7Volts making it ideal for twostep conversion while maintaining high efficiency formany power sensitive applications. The device iscapable of supplying 2A of output current with atypical dropout voltage of 550mV at 2A. The productis only available in a fixed output voltage option.The product includes complete short-circuit andthermal protection. The combination of these twointernal protection circuits gives the device acomprehensive safety system to safe guard againstextreme adverse operating conditions.The AMS3121 is available in both 3-pin TO-220 andTO-263 packages, and it is rated for -40°C to+125°C temperature range.
