描述 Description

The AIC2880 is a high efficiency, monolithic syn-chronous step-down DC/DC converter that can deliver up to 2A output current from 4.5V to 16V input voltage.The AIC2880 current mode archi-tecture provides fast transient response and eas-es loop stabilization. Low output voltage ripple and small external inductor and capacitors sizes are achieved with 500kHz or 700kHz switching frequency.

The AIC2880 has cycle-by-cycle current limit pro-vides protection against shorted output, and soft start eliminates inrush current during start-up.

The AIC2880 also provides over voltage protec-tion, thermal shutdown protection and power good indication function. The low current at shut-down mode allows output disconnection, en-abling easy power management in battery-power system.

This device is available in SOP-8 Exposed Pad package provides a very compact system solution with minimal external compo-nents and PCB area.
